RECKLESS GENT
EXPERTLY RECKLESS
Bombastic pop-rock, riffs, chunky 70’s guitars, thundering drums. With a few diversions into vaudeville and theatrics to boot. Bands that spring to mind if (I was inserting myself into a curated playlist) would be Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin and of course The Beatles (certainly their heavier side). There’s even a Rolling Stones kind of touch, a bit of Lenny Kravitz (I’ve been told!). I also love to add washes of vocal harmony to the arrangements, and have a dalliance with orchestration which definitely stems from a childhood love of Queen. So my heavier, theatrical side comes out in the guise of Reckless Gent.
‘Illusions of Grandeur’ will eventually become a collection of songs taking a look at contemporary life. Here’s a taster of the opening track (a pre-production demo/performance)
Take a look at the ‘Projects Overview’ page for an idea of my other made up bands and output.
